AAATAX · Anne Arundel Accounting and Taxes, Inc. · Pasadena, Maryland · Since 1988

Proactive tax planning for owners who want clarity.

We are a CPA-led firm that plans before tax time, answers during the year, and puts our planning fee in writing: find estimated savings of at least twice the fee — or the fee comes back.

Terms of Service · §5 — Fee Protection

Two guarantees. In writing. Signed.

Most firms ask you to trust them. We put the trust in our Terms of Service, where it binds us — and every engagement incorporates it.

§5a PLANNING FEE PROTECTION • §5A • §5a

Tax Planning Fee Protection

When your completed tax plan does not identify estimated tax savings of at least 2× the fee you paid for the plan, we refund up to 100% of the planning fee.

The conditions, in plain type: you provided the information we asked for, in the form we asked for it. Estimates are based on your facts and current law — if the facts change, the estimate can too.

§5b PREPARATION FEE PROTECTION • §5B • §5b

Tax Preparation Fee Protection

If our preparation error causes interest or penalties on your return, we refund up to 100% of the preparation fee for that return.

Errors we make are ours. Inaccuracies that come from incorrect or incomplete information — or a position you chose against our advice — aren’t covered. We say so here, not in a footnote.

Don’t take our word for the guarantee — test it. Pick a clause, tap the situation you worry about, and read the verdict our own Terms give. Including the ones where the answer is no.

What We Do

Five doors. One firm.

Tax Planning and Strategy

Planning happens before the decisions, not after the deadline: entity structure, owner pay, timing, retirement — mapped while the year can still change. Every completed plan is measured against our written 2× fee protection.

Tax Prep and File

Business and personal returns, prepared and e-filed — we are an IRS Authorized e-file Provider. And if our preparation error ever costs you interest or penalties, §5b stands behind the work.

IRS / State Representation

Our founder is a former IRS Agent. Delinquent returns, IRS problems, audits — we have sat on both sides of that table, and we stand on yours.

Start here →

Year-Round Support

Answers when you need them — not a once-a-year check-in. When a decision is on your desk in March, July, or October, it gets a planned answer, not a filing-season surprise.

Bookkeeping

Records kept organized all year, so your tax strategy is supported by real numbers — and your plan is built on facts, not reconstructions.

Every service is fixed-fee: scope, complexity, and value set the price — never the clock.

Our Story

Two generations, one standard.

Cecil & Corrin Woodard — in our Pasadena office

Cecil T. Woodard, CPA — Founder

Cecil incorporated this firm in Maryland in 1988. Before that, he was an IRS Agent — and he built the practice on the work that demands that experience: IRS problem resolution and delinquent returns. Clients who came to him in the mid-1980s are still on our books.

Corrin Woodard, CPA — Managing Director

Corrin started in this field as a bookkeeper, joined her father’s firm in 2021, and leads it today. She publishes in Bloomberg Tax, serves on the board of CASA of Baltimore, and coaches the next generation of bookkeepers and tax preparers — her stated mission.

Licensed CPAs and Enrolled Agents lead our tax services, and every professional on the team completes annual training in their area of practice. On the bench: Debra Silhan Staples, CPA.

Questions & Answers

Asked often. Answered in writing.

How does the planning guarantee actually work?

Under our Tax Planning Fee Protection (Terms of Service, §5a): if your completed tax plan does not identify estimated tax savings at least equal to 2× the fee you paid for the plan, and you provided all the required information in the form and manner we requested, we refund up to 100% of the planning fee. It is in our Terms — not a sales line.

What if the mistake on my return is mine?

Then it is not covered — and we say so up front. Our Tax Preparation Fee Protection (§5b) covers interest and penalties directly caused by our preparation error: information entered that does not match what you provided, or timely, accurately provided information we left out. Give us complete, accurate information, and our errors are on us.

Do you just file, or do you plan?

We plan first. Tax planning and strategy comes before preparation in everything we do, and support runs year-round — so decisions are made while the year can still change, not discovered at filing season.

I'm behind — unfiled returns, IRS letters. Can you represent me?

Yes. IRS and state representation is one of our core services, and our founder, Cecil T. Woodard, CPA, is a former IRS Agent whose specialty is IRS problem resolution and delinquent returns, including representing clients during IRS audits.

What will it cost?

We bill fixed fees, quoted up front in your engagement — based on the scope, complexity, and value of the work, never on the amount of time spent (Terms of Service, §3). And both fee protections stand behind the two services owners worry about most.

Where are you — and how do we work together?

Our office is in Pasadena, Maryland, and our services are delivered online: clients work with us inside a secure portal (TaxDome) for documents, messages, and deliverables. Start with a discovery consultation — we will walk you through the rest.
